Seeing Stars Fall Shawl Retreat (October 11-13, 2019)
Crochet or Knit with Laurinda Reddig and Michele Bernstein. Last year's first Crochet AND Knit Shawl retreat with Michele Bernstein was such a hit, Laurinda and Michele cooked up another pair of shawls for this fall, with a similar look in both crochet and knit. Difficulty level will be Advanced Beginner and up, as both shawls include some unusual stitches, but with the help of the designers on hand, you can learn something new!
This year we will be creating shawls using a superwash merino and nylon fingering weight yarn from Mosaic Moon including one full skein of Speckled Yarn and 5 semi-solid mini skeins in coordinating shades. You will get to choose your colorway between Blue Box, Ochre, and Pear. Start your own Shawl with guidance from the designers, in the company of other knitters and crocheters for an entire weekend!
Check out pictures of more angles and color variations HERE of the gorgeous shawl the knitters will be making this year! Laurinda's Star Bright Shawl, inspired by Michele's Lucky Star, won 3rd Place Accessories in the CGOA's Design Competition at the conference!

ReplyDeleteHey, so, before I sign up I just want to check... the space the retreat will be held in: is it free of cats and dogs? I'm badly allergic (my lungs close up and I literally can't breathe), so this is make-or-break for me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, but the owners do have 2 dogs and a cat. They keep them inside the main house during the retreats, but cannot guarantee a pet free space.
