Day 15: Planning My Book Tour

Hey! Have I mentioned that I am planning a book tour for this summer and fall? I have decided to pack up The Crochet-Mobile with blankets and books and visit as many Local Yarn Stores as I can around Washington, Oregon, and even the Bay Area (of California). I totally wish I had the time and means to travel to every shop that carries my book, but that will have to wait until my kiddoes are older (or I can convince the family to join me for an LYS roadtrip vacation).

If you live in any of these areas, and have a favorite (crochet friendly) yarn shop you would like to see me at, please be sure to send me a message here or on Ravelry, or ask the shop to contact me. I figure anywhere I can drive in half a day from southern WA/Portland is fair game. Today I am heading to the Black Sheep Gathering down in Eugene, OR, to hang with my fiber friends, and network (as I always do).

I am currently setting my Tour Schedule for the coming months, and working with several great sponsors who are providing donations for me to raffle off to attendees at every event! Events will include Book Signing, Trunk Show, Demonstrations, and Free Raffles!

Since summer may not be the best time for book signing events, we'll start with a Blog Tour with lots of AWESOME crochet bloggers, some I have met and most I have not. Then a Book Launch Party will be held at Twisted in Portland on July 12th (where I am also teaching some classes). So mark your calendars (if you are local), and keep your eyes out for more details on Tour Dates and my first full Classes on the Reversible Intarsia Technique offered at 2 big events this fall!
