There are Monsters Afoot... Rainy Day Fun

Another dreary day in the norhtwest. Stuck inside with the rain pouring down and a very active 4 1/2 year old. We started with some Tissue Paper Art. I found this sunflower coloring page on kinderart.com awhile back and was saving it for a rainy day, literally. I printed it on cardstock, ran it through the xyron sticker maker to make the entire picture surface sticky. Then we peeled off the backing and crumpled up little squares of colored tissue paper to color in the flower and sky.

Later in the day this tissue paper flower became a key part of his "Monster Traps". You see, with the flower picture taped to the outside of the traps, each "monster" would go right into the trap to smell the flower, only to discover that it wasn't a real flower. But it was too late, they were trapped! For extra security Griffin attached the trap to the floor with "Dragon Proof Tape" (wasting a lot of scotch tape, but worth the fun!).
